World Central Kitchen (WCK) is a nonprofit organization that provides fresh meals in response to humanitarian, climate, and community crises. The organization, established in 2010 by Chef José Andrés, leverages local resources to build resiliency and jump-start economic recovery through food. Since its founding, WCK has served more than 200 million nourishing meals around the world.
When disaster strikes, WCK mobilizes with urgency to start cooking and serving meals to people in need. The organization sources local ingredients and partners with local restaurants, food trucks, or emergency kitchens.
Textline is proud to support WCK through our Impact Program by making a donation for every text our customers send. We love WCK for its efficiency, extraordinary service, and community empowerment. We also love that WCK loves texting! The organization created a free text-to-order program, WCK Direct, that provides restaurant-prepared meals for families experiencing food and nutrition insecurity.
